“Discussion panel: Teaching that lines up with the 2014 curriculum”
Doug Gowan is vice-chair of the Association for Learning Technology, the UK's leading membership organisation in the learning technology field.
Doug was born in a mining and mill town in the West Riding. Survived 11+ and Grammar School miseducation. Graduated from Edinburgh University in spite of 1968 and all that. Founded the TUC's Course Development Unit in the 1970s and helped create a new style of active, learner-centred learning. Developed new styles of campaigning in trade unions and in 1997 set up the Open Learning Partnership.
