“Change management and CPD training for teachers in primary schools”
Mark Dorling has a first class computing degree, and is primary trained teacher, with extensive primary and secondary teaching in both selected and non selective schools, and industry experience. His work at leading the introduction of Computing into KS3 and KS4 in his school, including the Digital Schoolhouse project, a primary to secondary school, computing focused, transition project (which featured as a case study in the Royal Society Report and won the 2013 TES award for ICT) has gained him international recognition. Mark frequently gives conference workshops, keynotes, and runs CPD sessions, and he was a member of the DfE working party of experts responsible for recommending a programme of study as part of the DfE ICT National Curriculum review.
Mark is on the Board of Management for Computing At School, and he helped setup the Network of Excellence project when it was launched in the summer of in 2012. This was initially on a part-time secondment funded by sponsorship from OCR, whilst leading the Digital Schoolhouse project at Langley Grammar School two days per week. After a successful secondment, in the summer Mark joined them full time as their National CPD Coordinator responsible for the CAS Master Teacher programme funded by DfE
