“Using technology to help students achieve”
Mike Adnitt is vice principal at St Lawrence Academy, Scunthorpe. He leads on data, timetable, curriculum and 14-19, amongst other responsibilities. Through distributing leadership and responsibility for data to all staff, the academy has transformed how students are tracked and assessed within the academy.In Mike’s opinion, using data to get a good understanding of where pupils’ strengths and weaknesses lie allows the academy to effectively use intervention and set targets to drive progress. This has motivated staff and students to aim higher and achieve more. The school then backs this up with highly focused, motivational teaching and learning.
