Cambridge Assessment to host ‘Teaching and assessing 21st Century skills’ event
Cambridge Assessment is hosting a ‘Teaching and assessing 21st Century skills’ event. The event hopes to equip students with effective tools and strategies that help them to think critically and reason logically, said to be essential preparation to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
According to the company, many people acknowledge the benefits of so called ’21st century skills’ including critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, communication, collaboration, information literacy, and life skills as well as self-directed study skills, intellectual curiosity and independent research skills.
Cambridge Assessment is hosting a debate to evaluate what ’21st century skills’ students are currently being taught, whether they are being properly assessed and recognised and whether the needs of industry and higher education are really being met.
