At the time of going to print, Oakford Backup securely stored over 200TB (Terabytes, or 200,000 Gigabytes!) of data, that’s about 4 million 4-drawer filing cabinets full of text!

As a support provider ourselves, Oakford worked with a number of partner schools in order to overcome the shortfalls in these solutions.
Oakford feels well placed to offer E-Safe Internet access providing faster Internet at a better price, without sacrificing the crucial safeguarding of our young people via web filtering and security. Early Essence to Primary Essence, a new online, live data tracking and reporting tool for nurseries and schools. The multi lingual package allows nursery providers, teachers, parents and pupils to work together to follow progress, development and attainment of children from birth to 11 years, driving efficiency, flexibility, engagement and collaboration.
Early to Primary Essence is the brainchild of Scott Parkin an educational practitioner who wanted to improve and save time on reporting processes for himself and his staff, but the end result has surpassed his expectations, achieving better parent interaction, clear actionable results about children and a real feel-good factor across schools, where staff are in control. By capturing information about each child quickly and simply and mapping it directly against the statutory framework, the process requires no further administration – the process is in the interaction with the child in real time – rather than having to laboriously log, file, transfer and collate information later.
Staff are currently reporting a 50% reduction in the time taken to record observations. To add to this Managers are seeing a vast increase in clearer, more relevant observations being recorded.
